Problem

The GHF was established to raise funds for the Garth Homer Society but was struggling to do so. The question was why.

Scope

EBI Group was tasked to review the organisational relationship between the GHF and the GHS.

Solution

EBI Group presented a management report with recommendations on how the Foundation might move forward. The GHF has accepted the report as the blueprint for its future.

Problem

Post secondary institutions in Canada were too dependent on International students from Asia, particularly China and India.

Scope

EBI offered a route to break into non-traditional markets through its own offices in the US and in the Caribbean as well as through its contacts in West Africa.

Outcome

EBI was the first organisation to bring teams of Canadian recruiters to New York and the USA. The Canadian gov’t has since established recruitment fairs. EBI was able to funnel students from West Africa and the Caribbean to Canadian post secondary institutions

Problem

Industry Canada was trying to determine whether there were potential IT partnerships/opportunities in Scandinavia and Belgium.

Scope

EBI in cooperation with CANARIE Inc. Undertook a thorough market study of potential opportunities in Sweden, Denmark and Belgium.

Outcome

The study was completed and presented to Industry Canada for their consideration

Problem

The Canadian government was looking to offer international work experiences (coop placements, especially women) in non-traditional areas.

Scope

EBI Group was able to place students in a diversity of work experiences (6 months internships)ranging from the Ghanaian Stock Exchange to a travel agency in the Ivory Coast.

Outcome

The feedback from the students who participated in the program was uniformly positive.

Problem

D & M Hospitality Solutions was seeking a way to upgrade the skills of middle managers in the hospitality industry in Tanzania.

Scope

EBI Group was sent as part of a team to undertake workshops to middle managers. EBI Group was responsible for Strategic Management. Change Management and Asset Management in the industry.

Outcome

The feedback from the participants was uniformly positive. Discussions are underway about future programs and making it an annual event.
