The Chinese youth hostel network is the largest in the world. It is very conscious of the importance of environmental sustainability for the future of the planet. The question was what could they do.

Scope

Working with the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, a two week program was designed for the managers of some of the largest hostels in the biggest cities in China, focusing on subjects such as rainwater collection and urban planting.

Outcome

The 15 managers were very happy with what was learned and felt the learning experience was very appropriate to their needs.

Problem

German students were looking for a unique short course in environmental sustainability.

Scope

Working with Royal Roads University and the Braun Stiftung Institute, we crafted a two week intensive environmental program designed for the German secondary and post secondary market.

Outcome

The program was accepted and promoted across 800 institutions in Germany.

OUR EcoVillage is part of a global network of environmental experiential learning sites. They were seeking to build their educational network and increase their overall funding.

Scope

Working with the team at OUR EcoVillage, EBI Group has been able to expand their network of schools involved, both secondary and post secondary as well as secure lead funding for the Canada 150 celebrations on behalf of the local community.

Outcome

OUR EcoVillage is now receiving young and old to their site from people around the world, from Europe, Australia, China and Japan.
